General Mills: Enterprise HMI Navigation Framework

General Mills needed every plant floor application across 38 manufacturing plants to share a common navigation and security experience. We built a .NET control that embedded into Wonderware System Platform, handled role-based security down to the individual workstation, and operated fully offline on thin clients. The client documented the result in a 260-page installation guide.

BioConnect: a production-grade translator for automated bioreactor sampling.

MAST's automated sampling system promised to save 80+ hours of manual labor per cell culture, but a failing Python script kept it from working reliably. We built a .NET Windows service as a universal translator between MAST's instrument management system and diverse analytical devices, including a reverse-engineered RS232 protocol parser.

System Health: automated infrastructure discovery across global plants.

General Mills had no centralized visibility into their OT infrastructure. Engineers physically visited each server to answer basic questions about versions, licensing, or system health. We built a distributed discovery platform with a pluggable connector framework that scanned Wonderware, Historians, Allen-Bradley PLCs, and installed software, generating 15,000+ records per audit.

Lyvebyte IO: a cloud-based OEE platform with auto-configuring IoT hardware.

Founded a SaaS startup for real-time production line performance monitoring. Built the entire stack on Google Cloud, Firebase, and Angular, plus custom firmware for Siemens IoT Gateways with auto-discovery and auto-configuration. Presented to Boeing at Siemens' customer day; AutoCoding Systems proposed white-labeling it. Shut down in 2018 due to market timing (enterprise cloud security concerns in 2016–2017).
